Electro-bioreclamation

This technique applies alternating current (AC) to ground and groundwater to heat them. This dissolves and mobilizes pollutants which are removed by vapour extraction and a low-yield pumping system.

Once the bulk of the contamination is removed, micro-organisms, stimulated by the higher temperatures and additional nutrients clean up the remaining pollutants.

Electro-bioreclamation is able to clean up aromatics, PAH, kerosene, petroleum diesel, heavy fuel oil, and volatile chlorinated solvents.
